A native Washingtonian, Nicolas founded Cre-Ser Basket in 2010 while still in high school. He graduated from The Heights School and La Escuela Argentina, both in Potomac, Maryland. In 2019, Nicolas earned a B.A. with honors in government with a political philosophy concentration from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. Having played four years of college basketball, Nicolas’ senior year culminated with being named to the SCIAC 1st Team All-Conference and team MVP.
Nicolas’ camps were first organized for his little brother, Felipe, and his friends so that they could have a more personable and enjoyable summer camp experience. The Washington, D.C. area camp was set outdoors to allow the players to develop a more natural feel for the sport and to reconnect with the roots of the game. Shaken by what he saw in the impoverished areas of Argentina, he took this model and applied it within the country allowing the game to be played more easily without the need for indoor courts making the game more accessible.
